Quality Lab Superintendent
Directs the Quality Improvement and ISO Management Representative functions at the Ponca City Plant.
· Provides leadership in the investigation of Customer Concerns, identification and resolution to plant quality concerns, and implementation and continual improvement to the ISO quality system.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional Responsibilities
· Liaison with internal and external parties on matters relating to the quality management system.
· Approves and Releases packaged Product Lots for shipment to customers based on customer quality requirements.
· Issues COA to customers in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to CIS and testing specification requirements.
· Authority for ensuring that the quality system is established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with the ISO 9001:2000 ISO Standard. Assures plant is prepared and leads the outside QSR auditing of the plant for re-certification.
· Responsible for reporting on the performance of the quality system to management for review and as a basis for improvement of the quality system.
· Responsible for the measurement and evaluation of the quality control elements within the plant. Identifies and records quality problems and initiates, recommends, or provides solutions to those problems.
· Directs the Quality Improvement Supervisors and Technicians in their assigned duties and responsibilities for assurance that testing proficiency is maintained, housekeeping standards are maintained, and safety standards and expectations are met.
· Assures laboratory testing proficiency, efficiency and equipment maintenance/calibrations are maintained for validation of test results.
· Assures safety procedures are adhered to by the laboratory staff and instills safety awareness through weekly safety meetings.
· Develops and coordinates human resource relations between the laboratory staff and upper management.
· Manages laboratory’s operating expenses to meet AOP budget goals for the department.
· Leads the Quality Council in investigating and forming corrective actions for CPARs.
· Issues weekly, and periodic Cpk and Ppk reports for measurement of process performance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor degree in Chemistry or other related field preferred. Two years laboratory/ISO experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Two to three years of supervisory experience.
· Proficient with PC and PC-network applications.
· Effective Communicator, both oral and written.
